You're Sew Nice - a card

Hola! This is not my holiday season series card, but I still want to share it with you anyway. Lol!
I need to look around if I can enter this card to any challenge blog if it fits the criteria. I'll do it later. (yeah..procrastinate gurl!)

Another simple card from me........again.....
I bought a new collectibles from Kaisercraft recently and here they are; the sewing machine, the measuring tape and journalling tag. Before I paste on the red pp from lilybee, I have tied in the twine and finished it with a knot on the card front. And I didn't do this until I have put in the die cutouts from Kaisercraft and add on the stamp image of a dress form to match the theme. Simple, yes?

Thanks for looking!

Materials for this card:
Base card: Bazzil Basics
Pp: lilybee design
Stamp: Hero Arts
Die cutouts: Kaisercarft
Ink: Ranger

First Step - a scrapbook layout

Hola! It's Monday and I'm glad that I get to do quite a lot of craft works over the weekend. And that's because I just completed a tender assignment at work on Friday. I don't know why multi- tasking has become such a great effort for me these days. Must be the age factor! Lol!

Anyways, I would like to share yet another simple layout from me using the add-ons kit from Studio Calico; the Pin Cushion. The title that I've given for this layout is First Step - though its not shown on this layout. The photo was taken on the day my son 'officially' (LOL!), took his first few steps in life. It was a magical moment to see your baby started walking. And, that day, it looked as if he would never stop walking. With such abundant energy, he wandered off with such intense curiosity and excitement. This is actually my take on Scrap Yourself challenge of the week titled Change the World. In case you are following, the blog has been passed on to a new administrator. Things are a bit slow at the moment but we do hope to revive the blog once again.

Having the fence chippie there is quite symbolic. It represents that in life, you should see what's beyond and not just in front of you. How true!

Love the pin cushions!

A journey of a thousand miles must begin with one single step.

Materials used for this layout:
Chippie: Kaisercraft
Stamp: Glitz Creations
Ink: Ranger
Brads: Basic Grey
Others are from Pin Cushion kit from Studio Calico.

'Catch of the Day' birthday party a success!

( Faiz is 2nd from left)

We just celebrated Faiz's 5th birthday last Sunday at home and it was a great success. The theme was fishing because currently he is so into fishing and fishes. At home, we have about 6 fish tanks and it never tires him to get some more. Lucky for me, I don't have to change the water since my father is taking care of that! Lol!

I had a very strenuous week since I am working on a tender to be submitted soon so, arranging for the birthday party was a bit of a ' helter skelter' for there are many things to do and people to call. Cupcakes, balloons, cakes, party bag, table and chairs, backdrop, foods and beverages...these were all in my head but I didn't get the time to prepare for a checklist.

On the eleventh hour, I was reminded by my Mom that I have yet to order for the balloons!
And being a last minute preparation, the balloon man demanded a minimum order ( quite pricey!) even though I have been his loyal customer for the last 4 years!! Oh well, harga belon pon nak, inikan pula harga susu dan gula!

Lucky for me, I have a cousin who is also a party planner so, some of the items I needed were prepared by her such as the backdrop, the main table, candy floss machine, table and chairs, etc. I was also thankful that the fishing vest that I have ordered from the US arrived just in time for the birthday! Thanks to Mr Cremp! Maybe i should leave him a note later.

I was also thankful that I managed to complete the party bag, which was originally a brown paper bag but was painted and stamped with images suitable with the theme. It was worth all the effort.

Congratulations to Daniel for winning the best costume and his mommy for the adult category! Lol! Daniel went back with 2 fighting fishes for winning the best costume and 2nd place in the fishing game! Well done!

It was amazing that amidst the tonnes of work going on in the office and coming back home late almost every night, we managed to have a well organized and meaningful party for our boy! And not forgetting that we didn't even catered for the foods and drinks this time! All done in house!!

Life Journal - a scrapbook layout

Hola! I must have not been blogging for more than a week already. Even now, I'm in the office, taking time off from work that needs to be send out next Wednesday. It has been crazy week for me lately doing design, getting quotations, listening to presentations, meetings, replying emails, writing emails, writing documents bla bla bla... And I have only one engineer to assist me! If I have missed out on any of your beautiful postings, I will surely get back on that once I get more free time to blog. Promise.

Since I have not been crafting much lately, except for my son's party invitation card, which I will upload that later after the party; I want to share a simple layout that I did some time ago using WP's lovely paper.

This layout is about life journal and basically what I'm trying to scrap here is that your life journal is not complete if you have not give and receive love. Very true at least for me.

Materials used:
Pp: WP, Glitz Creations
Card stock: Bazzil Basics
Flowers: Prima
Pearls: Queen and co.
Vintage trinket: WP

Hope you like it!

Sunshine and smiles - a card

Hi there! Another simple one from me. Did this couple of nights ago.
Don't you just love the stamp!

Ciao!

Various cards from paper scraps

Hi there! One day while I was doing a scrapbook layout, I started to notice the scrap of papers that are beginning to pile up on my table. I really need to put them away. It's eating up my crafting space on the table! So, I have decided to create these cards of various styles. I notice that I don't have a specific style in crafting. At the moment, it looks like anything goes. Lol!

I try to make these cards simple and less frills. Some of my customers prefer it this way. Some prefers more elaborate cards with all the laces and embellishments and what nots. We all have our own unique way of liking things don't we?

Next week, I will be back to work after resting for about 2 weeks due to the operation. I know how busy I will be for the next 3 weeks. It's going to be hell! Wish me luck....the best of luck! Hopefully, everything will go smooth sailing for me.

Thanks for reading ....Ciao!
