Let Go of Your Creative Soul - an art journal page

Hi there! Glad to be back again in this blogland. First, I was busy with the festive week; then came laziness. When I actually had the time to do something in the craft room, you would find me sprawling on the bed or on the couch either watching reruns of movies ( one of them has got to be Pride and Prejudice....hahaha..) or simply dozing off. Felt like I had a sleepy or lazy virus something like that. And not to mention the amount of work in the office waiting for me as soon as I started work after the long week of holiday! Ugh...

Before the long holiday, I managed to buy a long sought after item, which is the Faber Castell's Gelatos. I've been looking all over for them in the shops in KL. I could have just bought them online but I wasn't yet desperate to try them. When I got to know that a local scrapbook store is selling them, I didn't wait a second longer. And here they are. This is not my first try on the gelatos. I first used them on a collage on canvas on my previous post and I had so much fun!!

I have used here Tangerine, Lemon, Mango and Butter Cream - all four of the yellow / orangey hues. Up there, you can see I have actually cut out a piece from the packaging and glued it on the fabric piece of the journal.

Most of the paper cut-outs here are from my stash of scraps.

I have also used a dark purple artist ink and created the circles around the words. { quite a famous style in many art journals I see..}

The papers cut-outs are from bits and pieces of Webster's Pages, Prima and Graphic 45. If you buy these gelatos, you will get in each colour tones/hues packaging; a small cute stamp, which I have also used here in the page below. Aren't they cute!?

I spent about 30 (+ 5mins interruption my son calling me to the other room) minutes doing this page to my surprise. When I entered the craft room earlier, I was worried that my mojo has already left me for another week of holiday! Lol! In the end, I'm very much satisfied with the result. Yayy... Hehehe.....So this one goes to the challenge at Art Journal Cafe on 30 min challenge.

So, thanks for stopping by and taking the time and patience to read this entry. Do come and visit soon!

Take care. Ciao!
