Hi there! I did this layout for The Colour Room current layout challenge. The moment I saw the colour palette, I instantly knew which photo I would like to use. This is my Little Arabian Prince, all dressed up for a costume birthday party we attended in 2007. The theme was Arabian Night. I just got back from India for a working trip in Chennai and I bought this costume from the local departmental store. I made the turban (picture in the frame) myself and the 'curled-up' Arabian shoe (sorry, picture not here).
On to this layout now, I have applied several techniques here such as stamping, misting, heat-embossing and punching. The lace shown was originally white but was given a touch of glimmer mist spray by Tattered Angels. The lovely blue flowers are from Petaloo and I have added a touch of Ranger's Stickles on each of the top petals. The rest of the flowers are by Prima. The blue dots are by HeroArts, which I find perfect to be used for this layout.
Again, I have used vintage frame chipboard by Dusty Attic. I just love their designs. Simple awesome! The blue papers, which are layered below the vintage frame chipboard were first dry embossed to give a textured look. I have then punched the edge with EK Success scallop punch.
