Spritz and Flick - ATCs for Papier

Happy Wednesday! and happy belated labour day to all! In my first post for Papier in this month of May, I am inspired by the technique in the Volume 2 of the Compendium of Curiosities by Tim Holtz, which is called 'Spritz and Flick'.

So I have decided to give a simple tutorial on how you can apply this technique onto a 12x12 cardstock and turn it into 14 nos of ATCs.

(above is how it looks like when you have flicked the ink distressed paper with water. Cool eh?)

A bit on the tutorial:

1. Get yourself a 12x12 card stock. It should be of a lighter colour so that you can see when you are distressing it with the Distress inks.

2. Start distressing using the Ranger's Distress ink. Use various colours of your choice.

3. Spritz some water onto your palm generously then flick onto the card stock. Flick until you have achieved the desired effect.

4. You can either start on your stamping now or stamp later after you have cut the cardstock into ATC size. For me, I cut the cardstock first and did the stamping later. Stamps are Tim Holtz's.

5. Add your embellishments as desired. Here I have used chipboard stickers by Prima, sequins, flowers by Prima, buttons, Droplets by Kaisercraft, Webster's Pages Dazzle-me Gems, Martha Stewart punch.

Most of the materials above is available at Papier.

Below are the 14 ATCs that I have completed with this technique. It's fun to create your own background and add on the designs later. By the way, if you wanna swap, these ATCs will be placed at Papier soon ;)))

Thanks for stopping by! Ciao!
